CLOUD ARCHITECT/
DEV ENGINEER
Verotis is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect/Engineer to fill a critical position in supporting the Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED), responsible for delivering cutting-edge technologies and cloud-native solutions to advance products and services which help shape Digital Transformation strategy and implementation.
Physical Requirements:
Qualified candidates will need to have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., be able to move/traverse throughout work facility, and communicate frequently with co-workers.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Developing solutions architecture and evaluating architectural alternatives for private, public and hybrid cloud models, including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and other cloud services

Design, execute, and support mission enabling and IT cloud solutions

Collaborate with development team on the development of the Cloud provisioning templates with IaC technologies
-
Collaborate with multiple development teams with DevOps tool chains (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Puppet, Chef, etc.) deployment and container platforms like Docker and Kubernetes

Facilitate onboarding of project CI/CD pipeline development and automation
-
Facilitate creation of program epics that will become the technical implementation

Communicate organizational priorities to the development team

Champions and/or assists with program epic development for continuous groom with vendor(s)

Quickly identify and develop innovative solutions to technological and environmental blockers to ensure continued progress
-
Collaborate with Contracts Officer Technical Representative (COTR) / Group Chief for each solution and subsequent program epics to define capabilities
-
Collaboratively defines the technology and architecture that connects the solution across the platform
-
Works with the System Architect/Engineering team to help guide their portion of the solution’s design
You will work side-by-side with the other program staff comprised of System Engineers, Acquisition Engineers and Domain Experts to lead the customer in modernizing their Ground Systems architecture.
Qualifications:
This position requires an understanding of the intelligence community and customer domain, along with a strong focus on architecting cloud solutions and management in support of end-to-end mission.

Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Requires 10 to 12 years with BS/BA or 8 to 10 years with MS/MA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or years of experience in lieu of degree

Experience with hands-on Cloud services configuration, automation, and operation experience (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, or other CSP)

Experience automating unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end testing

Automated unit testing tools like JUnit, JMeter, Selenium, and/or Jest
-
Experience using Git in a team environment, including branching strategies, GitFlow, and GitHub Flow.

Experience with use of tools in a standard DevOps toolset, such as Docker, Jenkins, Terraform, Helm charts, and Kubernetes.

Strong representational, oral, and written communications skills, including the ability to produce clear, logical, and concise products

Must be flexible in a constantly changing business landscape
Strongly Desired Skills:

Working knowledge and thorough understanding of requirements management for NRO and NRO programs
-
AWS, Azure, Microservices and 12 Factor App principles, Jenkins, Terraform, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka
-
Familiarity with Kanban and/or Scrum and/or Extreme Programming (XP). Knowledge of how Agile Toolsets like JIRA and Confluence work, how Scrum is done, standard Scrum ceremonies
